Individual, Couples, and Family Therapy

Pamela K Boylan, MS - Individual, Couples, and Family Counseling

In one way or another, our souls have been bruised.  Depression, anxiety, divorce/relationship issues, trauma, family crisis, & many other issues can slowly chip away at our self-worth, our sense of belonging, our hope.  Do you seek a true, raw connection with yourself & others?  Are you tired of fighting the "uphill battle" & seek peace in your life?   I have no magic wand.  I cannot make troubles disappear.  I can, however, walk with you & give you the tools to find inner peace & love in the midst of chaos.

I am trained in Relational Life Therapy, a style of therapy created by Terrance Real (author of "The New Rules of Marriage").  I have seen firsthand (from both sides of the couch) the positive impact this therapy has on individuals and couples. This type of therapy involves not only teaching better communication skills, but also healing from past trauma.  Unless we have done our emotional work, we tend to carry into our current relationships our old scripts from our past relationships.

I have also been trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing, which is a type of trauma therapy.  Clients I've worked with have benefited from EMDR therapy whether they have been witness to a crime, have been in a car accident, or was dealt a difficult upbringing.

I graduated in 1996 with my Masters in Counseling Psychology from Texas A& M University-Texarkana.  I worked for 7+ years as an individual and family counselor with Youth Villages, Centerstone, and Metro Government Caring for Children in Nashville and Columbia, TN.  I then took a hiatus to raise my two sons, who are now 14 and 11. I am passionate about helping others and am happy to be back doing what I love.  If you are interested in scheduling an appointment or finding out more about my practice, please do not hesitate to call or email.  I look forward to working together with you.
